Uma análise do efeito da adesão à lei de prorrogação da licença-maternidade sobre os salários das trabalhadoras paulistas
Abstract
Este artigo avalia o efeito da adesão das empresas paulistas à Lei nº 11.770/2008 (Programa Empresa Cidadã), a qual amplia o período de licença maternidade em 60 dias (de 120 para 180 dias) sobre os salários das trabalhadoras das empresas aderentes. Para este fim utilizamos informações cruzadas da Receita Federal e da Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS) para os anos de 2007 e 2011. A estratégia de identificação é baseada no método de diferenças em diferenças. São considerados controles de efeito fixos para firmas, setores, e tendências paralelas para os setores. A robustez é testada por placebo, diferenças em diferenças com covariadas da firma, e diferenças em diferenças com pareamento. Os resultados mostram que o Programa Empresa Cidadã causou redução nos salários das empregadas nas empresas aderentes entre 3,33% e 5,12%.
