Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the brazilian sociological history through the pan-africanist scientific paradigm. We defend the idea of African colonization in Brazil, which cannot be understood within the eurocentric logic. Since the criminal slave period, black intellectuals have been working to confront eurocentrism through paradigms of rupture, such as Pan-Africanism, in order to allow a critical analysis of afrodiasporic movements.
