O Banco Central do Brasil sob a ótica de seus observadores
Abstract
This paper estimates reaction functions using survey data for Brazil. It then infers financial market economists` perceptions about the reaction function of the Central Bank of Brazil over time and across different governors. The results show that central bank watchers perceive the Central Bank as satisfying the Taylor principle for the 1-year ahead expected interest rate, and also responding positively to economic growth.
