QUE DEMOCRACIA? O DISCURSO SOBRE DEMOCRACIA NA VÉSPERA DA ELEIÇÃO PRESIDENCIAL BRASILEIRA DE 2018

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o discurso sobre democracia a partir nas conversações políticas no Twitter na véspera da eleição presidencial brasileira de 2018. São utilizados métodos mistos a partir da Análise de Redes Sociais e da Análise Crítica do Discurso para a análise de 25.138 tweets. Os principais resultados apontam para uma disputa discursiva entre dois grupos: um que busca construir a democracia como oposição à ditadura para apontar Bolsonaro como um candidato que ameaça a democracia; e outro que reforça um discurso neoliberal para apontar o PT como um partido antidemocrático. As dimensões democráticas aparecem com menor centralidade nesta disputa, em que ambos os grupos buscam principalmente desqualificar o candidato adversário.
