Abstract

This article analyzes the publications on Facebook entitled "Joaquin Teixeira Thoughts" and on Twitter @joaquimvoltou, social networks that make a satire and opposition to political correctness and that would represent the thought of the Brazilian conservative right, The page deals with the elderly Joaquin Teixeira, a conservative and prejudiced far-right grandfather who uses posts to attack minorities and stereotype left-wing ideology. For this analysis, concepts of French Discourse Analysis were mobilized, used as a theoretical and methodological basis. The corpus is composed of screenshots of publications on social networks, involving various themes that make up his supposed right-wing FD, understanding how this satirical/ironic humor marked, from 2014 onwards, the resurgence of right-wing discourse.
