Abstract
The article addresses the role of the Third Sector in promoting tax awareness, emphasizing the importance of entities in this sector in educating citizens about the tax burden. Thru clear information, the aim is to develop an active perception among taxpayers, especially regarding indirect taxes, whose financial impacts are less apparent. The text highlights that the participation of the Third Sector is fundamental to strengthening citizenship, legitimizing taxation, and promoting fiscal justice. Examples such as "Transparency International" and "Transparency Brazil" illustrate how these entities contribute to greater social awareness, essential for a State that relies on the participation and responsibility of its citizens. In conclusion, the article argues that the role of the Third Sector is crucial to fill the gaps left by the State in fiscal education, encouraging active citizen participation in society.
