INTEGRAÇÃO REGIONAL NO MERCOSUL: FERRAMENTA PARA CONSTRUÇÃO DE UM MODELO SUSTENTÁVEL E MULTIDIMENSIONAL

Ao longo do século XIX, o tema ambiental passou a ser refletido a partir de organismos internacionais e blocos econômicos regionais, demonstrando a preocupação coletiva com os efeitos do desenvolvimento em uma sociedade globalizada. Por intermédio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica interdisciplinar, o presente artigo se dignou a verificar como a sustentabilidade é tida no Mercosul, consolidando a questão ambiental como despertar da consciência decolonial em um modelo de integração regional que prese pelo desenvolvimento aliado à preservação do meio ambiental. Por fim, conclui-se que mesmo havendo ações diretas que possibilitem a integração entre os países componentes do Mercosul, há uma necessidade de revaloração conceitual que possibilite a emancipação dos Estados e dos sujeitos com fulcro à libertação especial e epistemológica.

ABSTRACT

Throughout the nineteenth century, the environmental theme began to be reflected from international organizations and regional economic blocs, demonstrating the collective concern with the effects of development in a globalized society. Through an interdisciplinary bibliographical research, the present article deigned to verify how sustainability is held in Mercosur, consolidating the environmental issue as an awakening of the decolonial conscience in a regional integration model that provides for the development allied to the preservation of the environment. Finally, it is concluded that even if there are direct actions that allow the integration between the Mercosur member countries, there is a need for a conceptual revaluation that enables the emancipation of the States and of the subjects with a focus on special and epistemological liberation.
