Abstract

This paper discusses new constraints of corporate environmental management established on the frontier of scientific and technological innovation based on the British Petroleum accident (2010). The institutional gap that encouraged BP to adopt a pipeline of uncertainty, moving away and neglecting legal obligations related to liability is discussed, as well as the elements to fill this gap. Finally, will be called attention to other possible coping strategies of institutional and organizational problems as from the new common property regimes; for funding research & development and new forms of organization of production from the established concepts from the Techno-Economic Paradigms.
