Abstract

O presente estudo analisa os possíveis impactos do atual modelo gerencial do DPVAT na eficiência econômica. Na sequência passamos a analisar separadamente cada um dos possíveis objetivos regulatórios DPVAT, visando verificar se as alternativas eleitas pelo Poder Público alcançam seus objetivos de forma eficiente. Como resultado encontramos que alguns ajustes na estrutura do DPVAT poderiam proporcionar ganhos não insignificantes na eficiência econômica do mercado brasileiro de seguro de carro obrigatório.
