The media grotesque and the resistance of transvestite bodies in police reports

Abstract

The article analyzes the transvestite subversion in Youtube reports in 2009 and 2015. Deleuzian cartography, based on the notion of agency, was a methodology adopted. It was identified that one of the main communicative resources used by this public was humor, which tries to detach them from marginality, although journalism tries to position them. Thanks to laughter, as transvestites they are protagonists of their history, and they open up possibilities for visibility and respect.
