Abstract

This article seeks to critically expose the situations of silencing (Orlandi, 2018) among children (5 to 9 years-old), residents of Curitiba area, during an activity inspired by the Disney Princess narrative. The silencing of female significants appeared in three different ways: literal silence, non-say and dialogue as a form of resistance (Pêcheux, 1990). In dialogue, the children occupied the counter-identification position relative to the main discourse about gender called "princess culture".
