Da biopolítica à antropotécnica: diálogos entre Michel Foucault e Peter Sloterdijk

Abstract

The work connects Foucault’s biopolitics with Sloterdijk’s anthropotechnics. It presents Foucault’s biopolitics, with its technologies of the self and governmentality, and shows how Sloterdijk reformulates these concepts by proposing anthropotechnics as a simultaneous practice of world-transformation and self-optimization, viewing biopolitics and biopower as unfinished categories in Foucault. It then links this discussion to Agamben’s research, whose genealogy of power and glory in the West, rooted in ancient Greece and early Christianity, places him between Foucault and Sloterdijk, combining historical rigor with an orientation toward the future. Agamben highlights the essential bond between power and bare life, arguing that no historical event can be understood outside the biopolitical framework and that the question of bios remains central to all meaningful political reflection.
