The integration of Positive Psychology with Sports Psychology has proven crucial for athletes' performance and well-being. This study conducts a systematic literature review to explore how constructs such as resilience, well-being, motivation, and passion are investigated in sports. Although sports offer numerous benefits, their challenges can negatively impact mental health, making it essential to analyze the application of these key concepts. The review included articles published between April and September 2023, sourced from Scielo, Pepsic, APA, CAPES, and PubMed databases. Initially, 131 articles were found; after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 40 were ultimately selected. The results reveal an increase in publications since 2019, with a clear predominance of research on resilience (16.39%), followed by motivation and well-being (8.20% each), and passion (4.92%). Most of the research was conducted in Brazil and Spain, predominantly published in English. The main gap identified was the lack of standardization in defining athletes' performance levels and the use of assessment tools not approved by SATEPSI in Brazil. These significant findings highlight the need for greater validation of practical instruments and underscore the immense importance of adopting evidence-based practices to protect mental health and optimize athletic performance.
