Abstract

Este artigo busca identificar o uso de fontes e valores-notícia nas matérias de sobre a votação do Código Florestal Brasileiro no Jornal Nacional, em janeiro de 2012. O objetivo é verificar como ocorre a abordagem do tema ambiental na construção das notícias. Concluímos que o assunto meio ambiente foi tratado de forma superficial e o enfoque foi direcionado para uma cobertura política. As fontes usadas nas duas reportagens foram primárias e oficiais, com ênfase para os valores-notícia de conflito e simplificação, sem oferecer uma visão mais específica em termos ambientais de como repercute para a vida humana e social a alteração na legislação ambiental.
