Evolução histórica, expansão e financiamento da educação superior no Brasil: das primeiras faculdades à expansão do início do século XXI

O Brasil vivenciou um intenso processo de expansão do ensino superior a partir da Reforma Universitária de 1968, após um longo período de pouco acesso ao ensino terciário no século XX. Esta reforma foi considerada por muitos o início do processo de expansão desse nível de ensino no país via financiamento público privado. Para compreender este processo, o presente trabalho, realizado por meio de pesquisa documental e revisão bibliográfica de autores do tema, explorando dados quantitativos dessas pesquisas em uma revisão histórica do início do ensino superior até a atual expansão, tem a finalidade de avaliar o impacto da política de financiamento do ensino superior privado na efetivação do direito ao acesso a esse nível terciário no Brasil.
