Abstract

This article aims to promote reflections on the presence of black women in Brazilian television journalism. From a conceptual research and theoretical survey on historical issues, structural racism, double prejudice, barriers faced in education and in the job market, as well as the existing stereotypes in television and journalistic means, the study seeks to understand how visibility is given. of black professionals in this context, as well as bringing cases of national and international prominence in which there were discriminatory manifestations of race and gender, highlighting the need for greater participation in the struggle for changes in the scenario.
