A Tecnologia da Informação nas organizações enfrenta o dilema de transformar complexidade em simplicidade. As operações envolvendo dados demandam árduo trabalho de engenharia, enquanto usuários de TI estão sempre mais exigentes nas demandas por sistemas amigáveis. A busca pela simplicidade leva desenvolvedores de programas a conceberem mecanismos inteligentes de linguagem, capazes de responderem às exigências de mercado e autogerarem soluções para imprevistos. Tais inovações utilizam recursos da comunicação, transpondo-os para as novas linguagens da convergência digital, um esforço que requer colaboração estreita entre engenheiros de sistemas e comunicadores organizacionais.
