Abstract

Este ensaio discute o livro Ho-ba-la-lá – À procura de João Gilberto, de Marc Fischer, à luz de livros que abordamde forma crítica a narrativa biográfica e as tensas relações entre biógrafos e biografados – O espaço biográfico, de LeonorArfuch; O jornalista e o assassino, de Janet Malcolm, e Biografismo, reflexões sobre as escritas da vida, de Sergio Vilas-Boas. Nossa intenção é discutir os elementos constitutivos, as características e os limites de um filão (que se equilibra entrea checagem de fatos, a audição de relatos e versões levantados em audições e entrevistas) frequentemente às voltas com aquestão da verdade perseguida por muitos biógrafos.
