Silenciamento e ausências: a saúde dos povos indígenas na mídia impressa brasileira

Abstract

O trabalho é resultado de um estudo exploratório que observou como se apresenta a cobertura da imprensa brasileira quanto a temas relacionados à saúde dos povos indígenas em três veículos – O Globo, O Estado de S. Paulo e Correio Braziliense –, durante o ano de 2010. Foi utilizada a metodologia de Análise de Conteúdo (AC) para o mapeamento das fontes de informações consultadas pelos jornais e para a apreensão do que está manifesto nos textos. Ainda, com o apoio da Análise do Discurso Francesa, discutiram-se os resultados em busca do efeito de sentido do silenciamento de fontes e ausências de temas pertinentes à pauta saúde indígena.
