Abstract

O trabalho apresenta os resultados de um levantamento realizado em 2013 com os pesquisadores brasileiros da Comunicação. A proposta foi buscar tendências quanto ao estatuto epistemológica da área. Uma vez que entre os poucos consensos de nossa área está o estatuto interdisciplinar da Comunicação, buscamos investigar se, mesmo após o surgimento de críticas a essa proposta, a interdisciplinaridade seguia gozando do mesmo prestígio entre os pesquisadores da área. A técnica metodológica empregada foi um questionário fechado aplicado por meio da ferramenta Google Docs. No período do questionário, 241 pesquisadores responderam às questões. Refletindo as tendências internacionais na área, grande parte dos que responderam são pesquisadores com formação em Comunicação. Entre as principais conclusões do levantamento podemos elencar o fato de que a maioria dos entrevistados considera que a área é transdisciplinar ou predominantemente interdisciplinar. Entretanto, podemos apontar também algumas contradições e um alto índice de incerteza quanto a esta proposta entre os que responderam.
