A questão quilombola na pesquisa em comunicação

No limiar do XXI, as questões étnico-raciais ganharam novos contornos na sociedade brasileira. Uma das questões que emergiram nesse cenário foi a problemática das comunidades quilombolas que buscaram suas legitimidades perante o governo brasileiro para a regularização fundiária, conforme prevê a Constituição Federal de 1988. O contexto é marcado ainda por diversas mudanças socioeconômicas e midiáticas para a população negra brasileira. Assim, a partir do método qualitativo alicerçado na pesquisa documental e na pesquisa bibliográfica, aborda-se como as comunidades quilombolas apareceram nos trabalhos de pesquisadores da área da comunicação.
