About the Journal

The Journal GUIA - Permanencia y Éxito Académico is an open-access, continuously published academic journal dedicated to disseminating original and unpublished articles that address topics related to student retention, academic success, and issues concerning the quality of education. The journal focuses on presenting the results of scientific research and theoretical reflections on strategies, practices, and approaches that promote student retention and successful completion within educational institutions. In addition to scientific articles, the journal also publishes book reviews and relevant studies that contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of education, with an emphasis on the dimensions of student retention and academic success.

The GUIA Journal is part of RedGUIA, a network of researchers, professors, institutions, and, more broadly, individuals and organizations linked to the academic world who are interested in studying, researching, proposing, and evaluating strategies to address challenges and improve access, retention, and academic performance among higher education students, as well as their connection with basic education. The network’s contributions, progress, and achievements are grounded in the cooperative and collaborative work of its members.

FOCUS AND SCOPE

The journal publishes original research articles, case studies, literature reviews, and methodological papers that explore issues related to student retention, academic success, and graduation. Manuscripts may be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.
