Organizational Behavior and its reflections in times of pandemic: overview of the latest research on the topic

Abstract

This study discusses the various implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, including professional impacts, challenges of remote work, and significant changes in social and organizational relationships. The objective of this work was to understand, through Brazilian literature, the treatment given to organizational behavior and its effects on organizations in times of pandemic. To this end, a bibliographical research was carried out based on theoretical assumptions and in a descriptive manner. Regarding data collection, secondary sources were used, such as Google Scholar, with the aim of selecting articles on the topic of organizational behavior, published between 2020 and 2023. The research resulted in a total of 378 articles that specifically deal with behavior organizational structure during the pandemic period, of which 8 articles were selected for analysis and discussion. The survey results show that the most successful organizations during the pandemic were those capable of quickly adapting to the needs of their employees and changing market conditions. Leaders faced challenges in time management, well-being, communication and adopting technology to guide their teams during periods of uncertainty. Furthermore, it was possible to observe in research that the pandemic accelerated the adoption of technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation and data analysis to increase operational efficiency and reduce the need for physical interaction in the workplace, directly influencing organizational behavior.
