Measuring the Technology Readiness Level in Collaborative Projects: Challenges and Opportunities for Knowledge Management

Abstract

The measurement of Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and the formulation of strategies for Knowledge Management (KM) are fundamental elements for the success of collaborative projects. The technological maturity in these initiatives is directly correlated with knowledge-sharing mechanisms, which are interconnected with the level of product or technology development. The methodology employed was an integrative literature review, using the following databases: Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. Seven studies were selected, revealing two thematic cores: strategies for knowledge sharing in projects and new TRL scales adapted for collaborative projects. The challenges and opportunities iden-tified in collaborative projects evaluated by TRL include communication difficulties and the need for effective coordination and governance. The acceleration of technological development, supported by effective KM practices, can lead to innovations in a more rapid and efficient manner.
