Abstract

In this article, we discuss science and epistemological obstacles in Gaston Bachelard, encompassing the theoretical-conceptual categories regarding the Bachelardian interpretation of the scientific spirit and its development as an essential element for desirable knowledge. The epistemological obstacles that hinder scientific progress are identified. These obstacles do not exclude philosophical thought but rather expose flaws and suggest approaches to drive scientific evolution. Thus, Bachelard proposes a new interpretative analytical perspective on epistemological obstacles as essential for the advancement of knowledge. Finally, through this theoretical movement, we observe the philosopher’s concern in critically addressing knowledge for the construction of new scientific assumptions.
