Abstract

To estimate the levels of reproducibility and concurrent validity of measures of sedentary behavior of ISAQ-A (Health Indicators and Quality of Life in Academics) questionnaire; to estimate the association between sociodemographic and link with university characteristics with the difference of minutes among questionnaire and accelerometer. It is a cross-sectional study, with university students from an institution in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. For the information collection, the ISAQ-A questionnaire and the accelerometer were used. The questionnaire was applied in two moments, before and after the use of the accelerometer. The sedentary behavior of the ISAQ-A measured: watching TV, using the computer for studies and academics researches, using the computer at leisure-time and accessing social networks and playing video games. For statistical analysis, Spearman correlation (Rho) and Bland-Altman scatter plot used to estimate correlation and concordance, respectively. The multiple regression was used to estimate association between exploratory variables and difference among the time sedentary behavior by measured questionnaire and time sedentary measured accelerometer. The significance level was of 5%. Participated 61 students and observed for reproducibility higher correlations values for computer time (rho=0.72) and videogame (Rho=0.75), with satisfactory agreement for all screen behaviors. However, the comparison between the questionnaire measure and the sedentary time did not present correlations, only agreement between the tests. The woman was associated with higher differences in self-reported the screen time. Observed that the levels of reproducibility of the ISAQ-A sedentary behavior module presented satisfactory reproducibility and concordances reasonable in relation the direct measure of sedentary behavior, being that the women underestimated the screen time via questionnaire.
