UMA ANÁLISE DOS DISCURSOS A PARTIR DO FENÔMENO CORPOREIDADE

Abstract

The present work approached the historical origin and the formation of the Combat Divers Group (GRUMEC) of the Brazilian Navy, at the same time made theoretical approaches of this context with the phenomenon Corporeality. Thus, we emphasize that our work exposes some references of a military character and others that deal with the theme of Corporeity. In methodological terms, in addition to bibliographic research, the work also carried out a field research, conducting interviews with eight Combat Divers (MEC´s) using two open questions, and the speeches of these participants were analyzed through the proposal Moreira, Simões and Porto (2005), by adapting the content analysis part. The results indicate that the MEC's ​​carry out their daily activities aimed at maintaining “physical” form, in the even narrow sense of the term, even describing that they always seek to be in constant movement, valuing in a certain way the body as a “machine”, as a “working tool”. They also report a training routine that provides better physical capacity, inside and outside the institution, and this standard is essential for the completion of the tasks that the profession requires. We also emphasize that we found the dichotomous view (body-mind) in the interviewees' statements, a fact that reinforces the mechanical understanding of the body.
