Overview of the Sports Incentive Law in the educational manifestation between the years 2007-2023

Abstract

The objective of this work was to carry out a descriptive characterization of the projects approved through the Sports Incentive Law in the educational event between the years 2007-2023. To identify the projects approved during the period, a consultation was carried out in the database of the Ministry of Sports and the Sports Intelligence Research Institute. In the period analyzed, a total of 23,656 projects were approved for educational manifestation, receiving a total value of R$1,319,595,938.09. In relation to geographic distribution, the existence of inequality between the different regions of the country can be seen, considering that around 92.97% of proponents and supporters were from the South and Southeast regions. Furthermore, it can be noted that the main destinations of the projects consisted of regular and sporting activities, that legal entities were the majority of the supporters, that the modalities with the highest number of mentions in projects were Volleyball, Futsal and Basketball and, for Finally, the hegemony of boosters from the financial, oil and mining sectors was identified.
