Resumen

Kip is a basic skill widely used in artistic gymnastics. Despite its importance, there is some difficulty in understanding the features underlying its correct performance, due to the lack of didactic information. This study proposes a qualitative biomechanical analysis of kip on the low bar of uneven bars, through an integrative review. Experi-mental and non-experimental studies were located in SciELO, Lilacs, and Google Scholar databases. The following aspects were reviewed: Kip overview; movement phases; and execution errors. This review aimed to integrate the knowledge of biome-chanics and artistic gymnastics, to offer an example of how biomechanics may be used as a pedagogical tool to assist Physical Education teachers and students in the teach-ing-learning process.
