Abstract

New technologies enable the incremental advent of digital innovation in organizations. This research compares the case study of the social communication sector in hospitals managed by Ebserh with literature. The general objective unfolds into two specific paths to unveil the processes of change in these network hospitals, one structural and the other technological, whose symbiosis prepared the ground for innovation in the implementation phase. The qualitative method was used to obtain information from the case study and capture in the literature what science says about the intertwining of digital innovation, social communication, and network hospital management. After the comparisons, it is concluded that the results are in line with the hypothesis that added value to the organization occurs even during the implementation phase of an innovation.
