Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the main processes of internal communication in organizations from the perspective of employees in the companies where they work. Methodology: This study is characterized as quantitative and descriptive, using a field study. Data collection was carried out through the application of a questionnaire, which yielded 137 responses. Results: The main factors observed by employees regarding the internal communication process at their company were: clear information for the execution of their work, proximity to management to express their ideas, opinions, and complaints. They also highlight the importance of communication as a relevant factor to ensure that information is not misleading and does not cause damage to the flow of company activities, reinforcing formal communication at work. Practical/Managerial Implications: the clear, objective, and concise flow of information contributes to a better understanding and execution of work in companies. Furthermore, the importance of formal and informal communication between employees and superiors leads to improvements and development throughout the organization. Social Implications: Effective internal communication fosters knowledge sharing, strengthens organizational culture, aligns teams with company objectives, increases employee engagement, improves work environment and satisfaction, and contributes to organizational profits.
