The aim of this article is to analyze, by means of a bibliographical, exploratory and descriptive research, the use of technology, especially artificial intelligence, by bidders in electronic tenders promoted by public offices. Some external control offices have decided that such use compromises the principle of competitiveness in public tenders. The question then arises as to whether the use of technology by bidders is limited and whether this is really the right way to go about public procurement in a scenario in which technological innovations have impacted all sectors of society.
