Based on the growth of technology companies such as Google, Apple and Microsoft, investments in venture capital have increased. Their success encourages investors to invest capital in smaller companies, but which have growth potential. The present study seeks to evaluate the survival of companies that receive individual or multiple investments, based on CrunchBase data, for Australia, Brazil and Canada in the period from 1990 to 2019. The results show that in the initial rounds, individual investment predominates. The regressions show the positive contribution of coinvestment both in the initial rounds and in the advanced stages of investment.
