ALGUMAS CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE A SAZONALIDADE NO IPCA

Neste artigo, apresentam-se os resultados da análise de sazonalidade do IPCA (Índice de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo) e seus itens no período de janeiro de 1995 a dezembro de 2000. A discussão tem como base os pontos levantados em Bryan e Cecchetti (1995) com relação à caraterística idiossincrática das variações sazonais nos preços, que faz com que, a despeito dos itens do índice de preços apresentarem sazonalidade no índice agregado, não se encontra, necessariamente, tal evidência. Além disto, comparam-se os resultados do ajustamento sazonal do IPCA usando os métodos direto e o indireto.Downloads
