Based on Linn da Quebrada, we analyze the dynamics of negotiation between pop culture and subalternity through biographical aberrations, gender studies and transgression. Linn operates as an epistemological key to understanding the intersections between gender studies and communication. We assume as a methodological resource the lyrics of her songs, which, understood as communicational materialities, narrate not only the singer's life trajectory, but a collective identity of abject gender.
