In documentary research, we biographically profiled the Potiguar Manoel Dantas (1867-1924), as an amateur stereoscopic photographer from the beginning of the century. XX. We started with unprecedented access to 2,146 photographs on glass, objects, and documents from his collection. We aim to investigate the uses and functions that this intellectual assigned to images. We believe that the practice of this anonymous photographer could offer new data for the history of the visual media.
