Abstract

Este artigo busca compreender a relação entre o documentarista e o papel do testemunho como forma de lidar/combater o esquecimento em períodos de regimes políticos autoritários, neste caso, a Ditadura Civil Militar no Brasil (1964-1985). Para isso utilizamos os documentários Marighella (2012), Os dias com ele (2013) e Diário de uma busca (2010) e as entrevistas realizadas entre julho e agosto de 2020 com as diretoras dos respectivos filmes como objetos dessa discussão.

Author Biographies

Beatriz Couto, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo

Beatriz Couto is a master student at Pontifícia Universidade Católica in São Paulo, where she currently studies the relation between Journalism, image and women as bad witches in the XVI century. She also hold a undergrad in Social Communication and Journalism at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Lucas Durr Missau, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

Lucas Durr Missau is a Ph.D. student in Social Science at Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina). He holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina). Lucas is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Journalism Experimentation Lab (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria) where he currently conducts research and development projects focused on media and journalism in the digital environment. His latest research project, which is the subject of his ongoing doctoral thesis, is focused on the influence of misinformation on voting decisions in the Brazilian and Argentinean contexts during the upcoming presidential elections in each country. In this case, the research intends to understand the social and cultural aspects imbricated in the diffusion of disinformation that lead people to believe or not believe the malicious content. He is also an external affiliate of the Center for Latinx Digital Media at Northwestern University.
