Abstract

We start with the concept of myth by the mexican historian Alfredo López Austin and then bring in narratives from his book Una vieja historia de la mierda, illustrated by Francisco Toledo. The body, in our communicational perspective, is thought of as a primary media, but, according to the times, mythical images also use other media, such as the graphic record (the book) or digital formats, such as photographs and videos, to disseminate and renew the old stories.
