Abstract

This paper discusses the importance of writing in qualitative approaches and the implications of the crisis of ethnographic representation for the development of new styles of doing research and intervention. Publications that present innovative styles of doing research and intervention with ethnographic and (auto)biographical approaches are reviewed in order to (1) reflect on discourse, rhetoric and voice; (2) promote more critical writing in ethnographic and biographical approaches; (3) apply these discussions in migrant and inclusive contexts.
