Biographical accounts as a method for the study of uses of digital technologies

Abstract

The article discusses the methodology of biographical accounts for understanding the tactical uses of digital technologies by Palestinian women migrants and descendants living in Brazil. Theoretically, we rely on Arfuch (2010) and Thompson (1992), to understand the biographical reports, and on Certeau (1998), to understand the uses as tactical actions of the subjects. We are also interested in the discussion about memory and forgetting, as political concepts that affect identities.
