Abstract

The article proposes a reading of the article Caetano estaciona carro no Leblon nesta quinta-feira as a paradigm of the inflation of biographical writing in the contemporary world. Based on bibliographical research about the biographical space today and its colonization by the rhetoric of mass communication, we demonstrate a parallel upsurge of the appeal to fiction, which gives rise to literary texts that parody the media biography. Understood as counter-communications, these discourses produce a critique of biographical fever, able to demonstrate its resonances and aesthetic-communicational limits.
