The article addresses the biographical traits of the Brazilian journalist and writer Murilo Carvalho, following the path that builds him as a singular exponent in the production of his own narrative about characters inhabiting the marginalized interior of Brazil. The text stems from successive in-depth interviews with the biographed person. The contextualized theoretical approach is structured in the articulation of the concepts of testimony, social memory and praxis in the construction of journalistic and literary reports.
