Abstract

Based on historical, philosophical and literary critical studies of the biographical genre, this article analyzes the hybrid nature of life writing, dependent on fiction and reality. It analyzes the uses of the (auto)biographical in the book report Cova 312, by Daniela Arbex (2015), which tells life stories traversed by the brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985). In it, the stories suggest a double ethical-political exercise: memory and critique of biographical reason.
