This paper aims to continue the discussions on media archeologies of rock gaúcho (Amaral et al, 2017). The present paper discusses cultural and musical issues related to rock music produced in Porto Alegre, based on biographies, and autobiographies about gaúcho rockers. Considering this material is not very often discussed in academic terms in Rio Grande do Sul and in Brazil, we initially present the concepts of biography, autobiography, and biographical method, in order to analyze the life narratives presented in the books. Our preliminary results show that feelings' structures and narratives develop the persona of the protagonist as an anti-hero, who is estranged from the cultural dominant values, (self)isolated from the mainstream music industry.
