In this article, we argue that the media has a pedagogical role in the apparatus of sexuality, taken from Foucault. To do so, we start from the concept of a apparatus to show how different media productions act, contributing to the maintenance of cisheteronormativity and gender binary as a social standard, from childhood to adulthood, not only prohibiting and hiding, but also producing representations of what is desirable from a normative point of view.
