In this interview, the writer and literature professor Amara Moira discusses trans lives and experiences in view of various scenarios and markers of the existence i.e. their chosen name, the struggles in the symbolic and social imagery realms, and also regarding the creative processes and their autobiographical writing. The author further elaborates on the role of social networks with respect to the visibility and the establishment of transgender communities. From those axes, Amara Moira raises relevant questions on the discourse about transgender issues from the perspectives of social justice, respect, and alterity.
