We propose with this work to reflect on Ana Clara Benevides’s death during a concert of the singer Taylor Swift in Brazil. We fathom which values emerge from this episode by using the discussions of event and death. We cast light on three objects: how Jornal Nacional covered the event; what the singer said and a fan club instagram account. The event relates to values such as capitalism besides the artist’s process of evading responsibility.
