Texturas do olhar digital: Um estudo semiótico sobre a padronização visual em séries de streaming

Abstract

Nas artes visuais, o termo textura é historicamente associado às características materiais e táteis de uma imagem. Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender como a produção audiovisual de filmes e séries, entre os anos 2018-2024, manifesta uma homogeneização da percepção visual por meio da textura. Para analisar essa questão, recorremos à teoria semiótica de Charles Sanders Peirce. Utilizando essas bases teóricas, o estudo apresenta uma análise de frames de séries disponíveis na Netflix.

Author Biographies

Him, UEMG

Graduated in Social Communication - Advertising and Propaganda (CNP). Holds a Master's degree in Design (UEMG). Graduated in Social Communication - Advertising and Propaganda from Centro Universitário Newton Paiva (2007) and earned a Master's degree from the School of Design at the State University of Minas Gerais. Currently, conducts workshops and courses on semiotics and audiovisual topics (semiotics and digital culture, and related themes), is a partner-director at Cocriativa Conteúdos Audiovisuais, and a composer. Juliana Rocha Franco, UEMG

Juliana Rocha Franco holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-SP (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo). She completed a doctoral internship at the University of Maryland. After her Ph.D., she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Program of Technologies of Intelligence and Digital Design at PUC-SP. Subsequently, she served as a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Program in Cognition, Technologies, and Institutions at the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid Region (UFERSA). Currently, she is a professor at the School of Design of the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG) and in the Graduate Program in Design at UEMG (PPGD-UEMG). She has expertise in the fields of Communication, Semiotics, and Design. Her work is divided into two main fronts: one more specific, focusing on an in-depth reading of Charles S. Peirce's philosophical system, and another more open-ended, which seeks to understand and analyze processes of perception and meaning-making in contemporary contexts.
